Our cancellation policies vary slightly from service to service, as enumerated below. In general, though, we allow customers to cancel their reservations up to 48 hours prior to their arrival with an 85% refund of their original payment.

The following schedule describes the actual cancellation policy for each product and service we offer across our network:

Airport Transfers and Car Services

For car services cancellations can be made up to 72 hours prior to the service with an 80% refund. Within 72 hours all reservations are final and cannot be refunded.

Specialty Car Rentals

For car rentals, cancellations can be made up to 72 hours prior to your arrival with 60% refund, meaning that if you’ve reserved a Smart Car for three days costing €165, you will receive €99 in return if you cancel. Within 72 hours all reservations are final and cannot be refunded.

Train Tickets

Train ticket sales are final and cannot be refunded.

Travel Packs

Travel Packs can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to your arrival with 85% refund. Within 48 hours, we can refund 50% of the original purchase price.

Private Itineraries

Context Private Itineraries can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the date of the itinerary with an 85% refund. Within 48 hours all reservations are final and cannot be refunded. Tours are held rain or shine with some variations to accommodate the weather.

Semi-Private Itineraries

Context Semi-Private Itineraries can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the date of the itinerary with an 85% refund. Within 48 hours all reservations are final and cannot be refunded. Tours are held rain or shine with some variations to accommodate the weather.

Events

Sales of tickets to all events (opera, concerts, sports events, etc.) are final. No refunds can be made.

Special Site Visits

For all site and museum reservations cancellations can be made up to the time of your visit with forfeiture of your deposit.

Cell Phone Rentals

Cell Phone Rentals can be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to your arrival with an 85% refund. Within 48 hours, we can refund 50% of the original purchase price.

Books

All sales on books are subject to Amazon’s cancellation policy, which is viewable within their site as you’re making your purchase.

Friend in Rome

Friend in Rome memberships can be cancelled at any time with an 85% refund.
